Khadijas Kitchen is one of our longest-running client relationships. Khadija is a well-known Swedish food blogger with a large and loyal audience, and we have rebuilt and developed her website several times over the years as her business has grown.

What started as a simple food blog has evolved into a complete digital platform with a blog, recipe database, e-commerce for spices, catering services, and book sales.

The latest update to the site involved a completely new visual direction. We developed a color palette inspired by African tones, warm earthy colors that reflect Khadija's culinary heritage and give the site a unique, recognizable feel. Typography and layout were updated to match the new identity.

One of the most important efforts was building a custom recipe publishing system in WordPress. Khadija publishes recipes regularly and needed a tool that makes it quick and easy, without having to think about formatting or technology. The system handles ingredients, step-by-step instructions, servings, and images in a structured flow that she can use on her own.

The webshop has been expanded in several phases. From selling spices, it has grown to include catering services and Khadija's cookbooks. We recently updated the e-commerce to handle catering orders with custom forms and order flows.

With the daily traffic the site receives, performance is a constant priority. We work continuously on optimizations, caching, image handling, and server adjustments to keep the site fast and stable, even during traffic spikes.
